Grants and Donations

Sidmouth Town Council

Sidmouth Town Council’s long term commitment to supporting the Festival has again been affirmed, demonstrating a clear vision of the importance of this internationally renowned event to the health of the town as a resort and to its businesses. In particular, Town Council support has enabled us to enrich the Children’s Festival, successfully rebuild our Social Dance programme and to programme stronger line-ups at our main venues. All areas of the Festival benefit from this support, as does the Festival’s professional structure.

Devon County Council

We are grateful to our Devon County Council Member Stuart Hughes’s Locality fund for its support of the Festival, which is so important to Devon as a whole. This funding enables us to strengthen our main concert programme, create clear Festival information at key points and add to the unique Festival atmosphere around the whole town.

East Devon District Council

East Devon District Council gives significant assistance in support services and the use of venues and facilities, thus enabling the complex task of running FolkWeek to be undertaken effectively and smoothly. Many EDDC departments give important advice and support and we are grateful to the Council leaders, Executive and their support staff for this.
