As the early signs of Spring start to show, cast your mind ahead to summer days at everyone’s favourite festive week by the seaside, Sidmouth FolkWeek (4th-11th August)
As ever, the focus for the main festival concerts is Ham Marquee, where three first class concerts are programmed each day. See who and what’s on when below. Hundreds of other events take place throughout the week including: Roots Dance Parties, intimate Concert Series like fRoots Cellarful of Folkadelia and EFDSS Folk Rising Plus, Folk Dance, Ceilidhs, Traditional Sessions, Display Dance, Children’s Festival, Youth Events, Storytelling, Informal Sessions, Talks, Workshops and more …all wrapped up in a traditional seaside holiday.
For example, the news that the barn-storming Peatbog Faeries have been added to the Bulverton roots dance party nights, or the award-winning Scottish singer Barbara Dickson is joining us for a pre-festival concert. And look out for imminent news of our brand new Sounds Of Modern Scotland events.
Check the programme pages for the full evening and afternoon Ham Marquee line-ups.
